Walking Through Manchvegas
(Moes Haven)
Walking through Manchvegas
A town I love so well
Rooms for a night or a lifetime
At The Cadillac Motel
There's a show going on a The Wireless
There's a game at the merchant's dot com
Big Crowd
There's some guy driving up and down Elm Street
And he's got his radio on
Really loud
Weird people congregate in some of the parks
And sometimes on nice nights they're there after dark
All kinds of intimidating women and men
I stay away from Victory Park and Veteran's Park because of them
Walking through Manchvegas
A town that's so unique
I say, "Ooh la la! Ooh la la! Ooh la la la"
As I walk past La Cage Boutique
I stop at The Bridge Cafe
Sit down with a bottle of water
And I listen to the comedic stylings
Of a young man they call Kevin Cotter
And sometimes the poets read at the cafe
Taking turns at the microphone
And the crowds are so supportive of them
They snap their fingers after every poem
Walking through Manchvegas
A town that makes me so happy
I cannot resist
No, I cannot resist
Picking up a pizza from Pappy's
And I stop at a little hole in the wall
Play video poker just for fun
And I quit when I'm up about twenty
And the owner gives me two ten-dollar bills when I'm done
Some people say that's why they call it Manchvegas
Or cause there's not much to do here at night
So they use the name to make fun of this town
I don't know
Maybe both theories are right
Walking through Manchvegas
A town I love so well
Rooms for a night or a lifetime
At the Cadillac Motel
