Moes Haven: Lyrics/Clips/MP3s
Home Burial
(Moes Haven)
As the rabbit seeks shelter in its sunken den
And the willow grasps at straw
A hungry hunter shrills and cackles
He stirs to and fro
And hides from the melting snow
A solitary light shines in the distance
So far away it seems his knuckles would burst before receiving heat from the source of that beam
Ever rabid and ever alert, he flies on
Shelter will not sooth him now
Lists fly through his head at lightning speed:
A contest when he was four
The seating chart from his grade school
All is but a distant memory
As dim as that light that keeps him moving
One man
One aged man can reach into the embers of his soul
And discover not passion
Not pain
But an overwhelming to be burned...rather buried in his backyard
