Moes Haven: Lyrics/Clips/MP3s

Picnic

(The Spoiled Chefs)
For days I've been working here in this kitchen
Way too long and now I'm itching
For some time away from this place
For a chance to look at your face
In the sunlight
It'll be alright
Even if it's only just for an hour

We can pack supplies up in this bag
And write our names down on the tag
Hot food, cold food, what you will
We'll bring a cooler and a propane grill
We'll be outdoors
Watching as the bird soars
And maybe I will even pick you a flower

On this picnic with you
This picnic with you
There's nothing else I'd rather do
Than this picnic with you

We'll find a cool spot beneath a tree
I'll smile at you, you'll smile at me
Sit there breathing in the pure, fresh air
Don't have to speak, I can just stare
Into your eyes
And we'll swat some flies
Make sure they don't get near our meal

We can put deli meat on a sandwich bread
And keep on eating 'till we're fed
I'll ask you as we sit on a blanket
"Is there any soda left?" You'll say, "No, I drank it.
But stay loose
Cause there's still some juice"
And really happy is how I'll feel

On this picnic with you
This picnic with you
There's nothing else I'd rather do
Than this picnic with you

After the main course, we'll take a walk
Sit down on a bench and talk
For desert there's be cake with icing
You'll say you're on a diet but it's too enticing
And you'll take a slice
It'll taste so nice
And we'll say goodbye to the sun and hello to the moon

Once it's dark, we'll both know
That it's getting late and we'll have to go
Leave for the birds what we couldn't eat
Get off the blanket and on our feet
I'll be glad
But kind of sad
That our picnic had to be over so soon
